Adam Mac Unveils New Track “All Dollars, No Sense”

Genre-bending queer country artist Adam Mac, recently dubbed “cowBoy George” by fans for his bold style and sound, is back with a new track that blends razor-sharp wit, undeniable groove and a healthy dose of side-eye. Available now, “All Dollars, No Sense” offers another taste of what’s to come from Mac’s highly anticipated third studio album, due later this fall. The danceable fusion of country and modern pop, written by Mac alongside Jessica Cayne and Chris Rafetto, spins a clever, tongue-in-cheek take on keeping up appearances while going broke in the process. Packing a funky punch, “All Dollars, No Sense” hits like a club-ready mashup of Bruno Mars and Brooks & Dunn, laced with a no-holds-barred lyricism as cutting as it is catchy. “I wanted this song to feel like that moment when you’re sitting at the bar with your best friend, gossiping about the ridiculous lengths some folks will go to put on a show,” says Mac. “It’s playful, but it’s also about how exhausting and empty that game can be. Plus, it’s just fun as hell to sing and dance to.” This latest release follows the intimate and heartfelt, “Last Rodeo,” which was written by Mac with Sonia Leigh and Jason Mate as wedding vows to husband Lee Pfund. Filmed by Ford Fairchild in Sedona where the newlyweds exchanged vows in June, the song’s accompanying music video is deeply personal and marks a new chapter in Mac’s ever-evolving artistry. Unafraid to sparkle in the spotlight – or speak his truth, Mac continues to capture hearts with his unapologetic Southern flair, raw truth and glitter-soaked twang. Mac also recently released a companion video for “Southern Spectacle.” Written by Mac with HALLIE, Gigi Rich and Sonia Leigh, the song is a celebration of self-expression in the face of Southern tradition. The video finds the Southern spectacle returning to his hometown of Russellville, KY with his glitter and rhinestone shine on full display. Mac has been pushing the boundaries of country music from the beginning. Rooted in the gospel and ’90s country sounds of his youth, he has carved a space all his own with a fresh fusion of southern soul, disco flair, and fearless storytelling. These new tracks follow the success of Mac’s previous release “Dust Off Your Boots,” which sparked a nationwide line dancing trend and held the No. 1 spot on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown for six consecutive weeks. Before that, his breakout anthem “Disco Cowboy” reigned at No. 1 for four weeks and premiered exclusively on CMT. As a visible queer voice in country music today, Mac’s journey has not been without challenges. When he was scheduled to headline the Logan County Tobacco and Heritage Festival in his conservative hometown, backlash from local pastors sparked national headlines. His strength in the face of hate drew support from fans, hometown friends and celebrities alike – including Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini and Brandy Clark – and led to a guest appearance on Morris’ Lunatics Tour in Chicago. With his magnetic presence and rich storytelling, Mac continues to carve out space for queer voices in the country format showing that there’s room for every kind of story. Phil Vassar Releases New Single “I Don’t Know What It Means”

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Phil Vassar — long celebrated for his heartfelt storytelling and chart-topping country hits — will release his new single, “I Don’t Know What It Means,” on Friday, August 22. Promising to be one of the most personal and profound songs of his career, “I Don’t Know What It Means” was born from a life-altering experience — Phil died and came back to life. While it’s still difficult for him to talk about the moment itself, he did what he’s always done best: he wrote through it. Co-written alongside Dean Sams of Lonestar (who also produced the track) and Marty Dodson, “I Don’t Know What It Means” is a raw, honest, and soul-searching reflection on mortality, mystery, and the things we can’t quite explain. With his signature piano-driven melodies and emotionally charged vocals, Phil transforms this extraordinary experience into a universal story about what it means to truly live. Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan has claimed the 32nd #1 single of his career with “Country Song Came On.” Released via MCA the song, which is also the title of his 2025 headline tour, was written by Ryan Beaver, Dan Alley and Neil Medley and appears on Luke’s Mind Of A Country Boy album released last fall. The video was directed by Kate Rentz and made its premiere on CMT, CMT MUSIC and CMT Equal Play and debuted on the Paramount Times Square Billboard. “When I first heard this song, it took me right back to the clubs and honky tonks I played before I got to Nashville,” said Luke. “I love how the writers kept the simplicity in the track and let the lyric paint the story. Thank you for showing up for me.” This week, Luke will perform during the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors taking place in Nashville. Miranda Lambert’s Flood Relief Fund Donates $350K

Country star Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation-Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund has provided more than $350,000 to support over 20 animal shelters and organisations across Texas, New Mexico and New Jersey following devastating floods earlier this month. Lambert, whose home state of Texas was among the hardest hit, said she was deeply moved by the tragedy. “Texas is my home state and the tragedy that took so many lives – and forever changed so many others – left me without words to express my heartbreak. All I knew was that I wanted to help,” she said. “I’m grateful that our Fund could quickly jump into action. We started it so we could immediately respond to the needs of animal shelters and rescues after a natural disaster, and it’s always incredible to see it in action during times like this.” After Texas, floods also struck New Mexico and New Jersey, where the fund provided immediate aid to local shelters struggling with the aftermath. Tractor Supply’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Kimberley Gardiner called the donations a lifeline, saying they were more than financial support: “They’re a lifeline to animals and the people working tirelessly to care for them.” Beyond direct relief, Lambert is leading fundraising efforts for Texas recovery with a benefit concert alongside fellow Texan Parker McCollum on August 17 at the Moody Center in Austin. The concert will feature Cody Johnson, Kelly Clarkson, Lyle Lovett, Ronnie Dunn, Matthew McConaughey and others, with proceeds going to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community Foundation. Founded in 2023, the MuttNation-Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund has raised more than $1.6 million and allocated over $1.1 million for disaster relief, supporting animals and shelters after floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters. Marshmello and Jelly Roll Team Up For New Single “Holy Water”

GRAMMY Award-nominated artist and producer Marshmello has released a blockbuster new single entitled ‘Holy Water’ featuring fellow GRAMMY Award-nominated superstar Jelly Roll, out now via Mercury Records/Big Loud Records. For “Holy Water”, Marshmello brought old school fire and flare to the production. Challenging himself to craft a classic country soundscape, Marshmello notably incorporated 12-string guitar, baritone guitar, and mandolin —which he played in the studio. All of these elements naturally integrate with the up-tempo beat and kinetic synths. Simultaneously, Jelly Roll sounds right at home against this striking and soulful backdrop. He projects his voice with spirit on the hook, “One tear for the brokenhearted, pour out a little holy water.” Of the song, Marshmello said, “It’s really heartfelt. This is one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever released. It’s about losing a loved one. Unfortunately, a lot of us can relate to that. When I showed the initial idea to Jelly Roll and told him the story, he loved it. “He’s an open book, and it was really great to see how it resonated. It inspired me to go in even more on the production and get creative with the country elements. He definitely brought it home to where it is now.” “Holy Water” marks the second country leaning collaboration from the genre bending artist and producer who first made history in the genre when he collaborated with Kane Brown for ‘Miles On It’. The song took flight as “the first song ever to debut at #1 on both the Top Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and Top Country Songs Chart.” The release showcases Marshmello’s ability to seamlessly traverse genres and arrives on the heels of earlier 2025 releases including “Worlds Apart” and “Save My Love”, and “Slow Motion”.
