Kashus Culpepper Announces Fall 2025 Tour

Rising country-Americana artist Kashus Culpepper has announced a headlining tour across the United States this fall, capping off what has already been a landmark year. The Alabama-born singer-songwriter, hailed by GRAMMY.com as one of 2025’s “Artists to Watch” and recently featured in Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood Impact Report, will bring his soulful Southern sound to venues in Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Texas beginning November 6. Culpepper, who has drawn comparisons to Bill Withers “if he made country music,” according to Elton John, has been steadily building momentum with performances alongside Leon Bridges, Whiskey Myers and Sierra Ferrell. He made his national television debut earlier this year on CBS Saturday Morning, and his single “Broken Wing Bird,” featuring Ferrell, has earned strong praise from critics and fans alike. His upcoming single, “Believe,” is due out on August 22, the same day general ticket sales for the tour begin. In little more than a year since launching his recording career, Culpepper has emerged as one of the most talked-about new voices in country music. His husky vocals and raw storytelling have seen him sell out headline shows across the South, win a place on Apple Music’s and Amazon Music’s Artists to Watch lists, and join the Opry NextStage Class of 2025. He has also made high-profile festival appearances, including Stagecoach, C2C in London and Tortuga. The fall tour marks Culpepper’s first extended headlining run and will give fans across the country the chance to hear his blend of country, soul, blues and folk live. Phil Vassar Releases New Single “I Don’t Know What It Means”

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Phil Vassar — long celebrated for his heartfelt storytelling and chart-topping country hits — will release his new single, “I Don’t Know What It Means,” on Friday, August 22. Promising to be one of the most personal and profound songs of his career, “I Don’t Know What It Means” was born from a life-altering experience — Phil died and came back to life. While it’s still difficult for him to talk about the moment itself, he did what he’s always done best: he wrote through it. Co-written alongside Dean Sams of Lonestar (who also produced the track) and Marty Dodson, “I Don’t Know What It Means” is a raw, honest, and soul-searching reflection on mortality, mystery, and the things we can’t quite explain. With his signature piano-driven melodies and emotionally charged vocals, Phil transforms this extraordinary experience into a universal story about what it means to truly live. Five-time Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan has claimed the 32nd #1 single of his career with “Country Song Came On.” Released via MCA the song, which is also the title of his 2025 headline tour, was written by Ryan Beaver, Dan Alley and Neil Medley and appears on Luke’s Mind Of A Country Boy album released last fall. The video was directed by Kate Rentz and made its premiere on CMT, CMT MUSIC and CMT Equal Play and debuted on the Paramount Times Square Billboard. “When I first heard this song, it took me right back to the clubs and honky tonks I played before I got to Nashville,” said Luke. “I love how the writers kept the simplicity in the track and let the lyric paint the story. Thank you for showing up for me.” This week, Luke will perform during the 18th Academy of Country Music Honors taking place in Nashville. Miranda Lambert’s Flood Relief Fund Donates $350K

Country star Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation-Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund has provided more than $350,000 to support over 20 animal shelters and organisations across Texas, New Mexico and New Jersey following devastating floods earlier this month. Lambert, whose home state of Texas was among the hardest hit, said she was deeply moved by the tragedy. “Texas is my home state and the tragedy that took so many lives – and forever changed so many others – left me without words to express my heartbreak. All I knew was that I wanted to help,” she said. “I’m grateful that our Fund could quickly jump into action. We started it so we could immediately respond to the needs of animal shelters and rescues after a natural disaster, and it’s always incredible to see it in action during times like this.” After Texas, floods also struck New Mexico and New Jersey, where the fund provided immediate aid to local shelters struggling with the aftermath. Tractor Supply’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Kimberley Gardiner called the donations a lifeline, saying they were more than financial support: “They’re a lifeline to animals and the people working tirelessly to care for them.” Beyond direct relief, Lambert is leading fundraising efforts for Texas recovery with a benefit concert alongside fellow Texan Parker McCollum on August 17 at the Moody Center in Austin. The concert will feature Cody Johnson, Kelly Clarkson, Lyle Lovett, Ronnie Dunn, Matthew McConaughey and others, with proceeds going to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community Foundation. Founded in 2023, the MuttNation-Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund has raised more than $1.6 million and allocated over $1.1 million for disaster relief, supporting animals and shelters after floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes and other natural disasters. Marshmello and Jelly Roll Team Up For New Single “Holy Water”

GRAMMY Award-nominated artist and producer Marshmello has released a blockbuster new single entitled ‘Holy Water’ featuring fellow GRAMMY Award-nominated superstar Jelly Roll, out now via Mercury Records/Big Loud Records. For “Holy Water”, Marshmello brought old school fire and flare to the production. Challenging himself to craft a classic country soundscape, Marshmello notably incorporated 12-string guitar, baritone guitar, and mandolin —which he played in the studio. All of these elements naturally integrate with the up-tempo beat and kinetic synths. Simultaneously, Jelly Roll sounds right at home against this striking and soulful backdrop. He projects his voice with spirit on the hook, “One tear for the brokenhearted, pour out a little holy water.” Of the song, Marshmello said, “It’s really heartfelt. This is one of the most emotional songs I’ve ever released. It’s about losing a loved one. Unfortunately, a lot of us can relate to that. When I showed the initial idea to Jelly Roll and told him the story, he loved it. “He’s an open book, and it was really great to see how it resonated. It inspired me to go in even more on the production and get creative with the country elements. He definitely brought it home to where it is now.” “Holy Water” marks the second country leaning collaboration from the genre bending artist and producer who first made history in the genre when he collaborated with Kane Brown for ‘Miles On It’. The song took flight as “the first song ever to debut at #1 on both the Top Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and Top Country Songs Chart.” The release showcases Marshmello’s ability to seamlessly traverse genres and arrives on the heels of earlier 2025 releases including “Worlds Apart” and “Save My Love”, and “Slow Motion”. Podge Lane Releases Follow-Up Single “Let Me Ask You”

The Irish-born, New York-based alt-country troubadour Podge Lane has released his newest single, “Let Me Ask You”. Following the release of his roots-rocking summer single “Heatwave”, which amassed widespread acclaim, Lane pivots with a fragile, slow-burning ballad about the final moments of a relationship, and the questions that remain. Blending the intimate harmonies of The Civil Wars with the emotional honesty of Damien Rice, “Let Me Ask You” is biled as a raw ballad of love slipping away. Built sonically on sparse guitar, piano and soft backing vocals, the track builds to a desperate swell as drums, cello, and organ aid the singer’s plea before falling back into whispered resignation; A stark contrast to the summer sun in “Heatwave”, “Let Me Ask You” hones in on Lane’s astute lyrical insights and poses a new writing challenge for the songwriter. “I actually wrote this song without any notion of putting it out on a record. The week I moved to New York I was contacted to submit a song for a small film. “It was about a breakup where one of the characters still has a lot of unresolved issues. And that’s not something I usually get to write about. So I threw myself head first into the world of breakup songs. Lots of indie films, tons of old records, and lots of Grey’s Anatomy. “But when I sent it back for submission for the film, I was told they had already picked someone else, and just forgot to tell me! Selfishly I was kind of glad, because I had built a whole life for these characters, and gotten so attached to this song, I wanted it for myself!” Etching out his space in the alt-country landscape, Lane has played over 60 shows in just 3 months. Exciting announcements ensue with further tour dates to be announced, including headlining New York’s Big City Folk and Brookyln’s Gallery 198. Janet Devlin's Houston - Maverick-country.com

Janet Devlin: “Houston, I got so many problems”

Janet Devlin embraces solitude in empowering new single ‘Houston’ Out July 18th, Ahead of highly-anticipated Deluxe Album ‘Not My First Emotional Rodeo’. Irish singer-songwriter Janet Devlin is making a powerful return with her explosive new single, ‘Houston’, out July 18th, igniting excitement for the upcoming deluxe edition of her critically acclaimed album, ‘Emotional Rodeo’. Now reimagined as ‘Not My First Emotional Rodeo,’ Janet unveils the first bonus track from the expanded release originally launched last November. ‘Houston’ blends Janet’s signature Nashville twang with an upbeat, sing-along anthem for people who enjoy their own company, showcasing that solitude isn’t loneliness, but liberation. “I wanted to write a song that would sum up the freedom I feel when I’m on my own.  Be it solo horseback riding around the countryside or just anywhere far away from where the people are. As someone who has too many feelings and they used to bleed into most avenues of my life – emotional detachment, in this way, is actually a great and freeing thing. For some the concept of being in the vast unknown, away from civilisation is scary. The old me would’ve probably agreed. Now, for me it feels peaceful. I enjoy my own company, some may say a little too much.  “I feel like super-rural living in a lot of ways is like being in outer-space. Both are on the fringes of civilisation and reality.  ‘“Houston, I got so many problems” references the famous “Houston, we have a problem,” but it’s ironic. There is no mission control. Just me, alone. No panic. Just embracing relying on myself. “I wrote that line down after a therapy session. Something pretty awful had happened so I booked a one off slot with my therapist who I used to go see weekly. I went not because I felt like I needed it, more so because I felt like it was what I should do. After explaining what happened and how I was dealing with it, we both came to the conclusion that I was managing it all just fine on my own. I mean after how much money I’ve spent on getting better over the years, I’m glad it’s all paid off. It’s not that I’m hiding away from sharing things with others, it’s just that I don’t have to. “In the single version, I’ve opted for high octane, singalong fun. I wanted to hammer home the message that I’m having a good time out here on my own! I wanted something that I could hum along to when I’m out on my walks or riding around the countryside.  “This song is for the people who enjoy their own space. Especially in this world where we’re connected 24/7.  It’s a party song for those of us at our own solo parties. Yes, we may be a little bonkers – but who isn’t? We’re not lost, unless we’re trying to be. It’s not loneliness if we’re liberated. I promise you, we’re doing just fine!”
