Tyra Madison Releases Official Music Video for “Party Girl”

Following the growing success of her single “Party Girl,” rising country artist Tyra Madison has released the official music video, bringing the emotional weight of the track to life through a poignant visual narrative. The video has also been added to CMT Music’s rotation this week as well as their 12 Pack Countdown, marking a significant milestone in Tyra’s continued rise. The video opens with a girl entering a crowded bar, her expression distant as she quietly orders a drink. As the scene unfolds, Tyra herself appears alone in a bathroom—dressed up yet surrounded by remnants of a chaotic night: fries, a wine bottle, and a box of American Spirits—mirroring the internal chaos hidden beneath the surface. The story cuts to the main actress forcing smiles at a table of laughing friends, and eventually, her silent breakdown in front of the bathroom mirror as she reapplies her makeup to “paint her smile back on.” Just as the girl tries to compose herself, Tyra enters the bathroom, gently asking if she’s okay—signaling a moment of connection and understanding between two women who both know what it’s like to feel like they have to be the life of the party. “The song tells an emotional story that I thought deserved imagery to go with it,” says Tyra about the video. “I knew I didn’t want to be the lead girl, because this song is all about female empowerment. I knew I wanted to be the one comforting the main actress in the video.” “Party Girl” was produced by Jason Haag and written by Tyra Madison, Marla Cannon Goodman, and Dustin Christensen. The music video was shot at Tin Roof Demonbreun and directed by Tyra Madison and Chelsea Thompson. To read more exclusive articles and latest news, see our last issue here. Tamara Saviano Book Chronicles the Rise of Americana Music

Part memoir, part oral history, Poets and Dreamers: My Life in Americana Music traces Tamara Saviano’s remarkable journey through the rise of the Americana music genre. Spanning more than three decades and told by an intimate insider, Saviano unfolds the story of Americana—country music’s bohemian cousin—from her unique perspectives as a journalist, historian, Grammy-winning music producer, filmmaker, and artist emissary. The first woman president of the Americana Music Association and producer of the early Americana Honors and Awards shows at Nashville’s storied Ryman Auditorium, Saviano takes readers behind the scenes for some of the most significant moments in Americana history. Poets and Dreamers illuminates the exceptional Americana community: an ever-expanding yet close-knit circle of friends and unsung heroes devoted to the success of roots music and its artists. Highlights include interviews with artists and colleagues and memories of special events, concerts, and day-to-day life with singers, songwriters, and musicians. Tender stories recalling Saviano’s close relationships with two of her most enduring clients, iconic songwriters Kris Kristofferson and Guy Clark, round out this singular historical work. “My journals, a main source for this book, chronicle every minute I spent with Kris Kristofferson and Guy Clark along with all the other adventures I’ve had working in Americana music,” Saviano says. “But this is more than my story, it is the story of a scrappy group of music business misfits in the 1990s who were crazy and brave enough to build a business around a new music genre. And it worked.” The book includes photographs of significant people and moments in Americana music. To read more exclusive articles and latest news, see our last issue here. We have the best fans in the world.” Esten added, “It’s difficult to describe the depth of feeling I have for the show ‘NASHVILLE,’ the character Deacon, and the amazing people that I got to work with for those beautiful six years.
