Canadian singer/songwriter Tenille Arts recently released her brand new song ‘Mama’s Eyes’ on 12/5 just in time for Mother’s Day in the States and Canada. Written by Arts alongside Trannie Anderson and Alex Kline, ‘Mama’s Eyes’ is available to stream/download worldwide here. “I love writing songs about people that have had a huge impact on my life, and obviously my mom is one of those people” explains Arts. “I’ve been through a lot in the last couple of years and my mom was always the one that picked up the phone and was constantly encouraging me and assuring me that I was on the right path. I wish I could see myself and my accomplishments through her eyes. So that’s what I wrote this song about”. ‘Mama’s Eyes’ is the fourth track from her upcoming project, following the recent release of ‘Last Time Last’ with Maddie and Tae, written alongside Alex Kline, Alison Veltz Cruz and Trannie Anderson. Having first performed in the UK in 2019 as part of Country Music Week, Arts has since returned three times, embarking on her first UK headline tour last summer, playing the C2C: Country to Country music festival in London and Glasgow earlier in the year and returning this February to play a sold-out London headline show. Last year was a landmark year for Arts. With over half a billion lifetime streams, she received awards nominations for New Female Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards, Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Female Video and Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards, Entertainer of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Amazon Music Fans’ Choice at the CCMA Awards, Best Country Album at the Juno Awards, and won the AIMP 2022 Rising Artist-Writer of the Year Award. She also released ‘Jealous of Myself’, her first single via Dreamcatcher Artists (an expansion of Dreamcatcher Entertainment Group), which Billboard lauded as a “masterpiece”. “I am honored to be the first artist to sign with Dreamcatcher Artists, and to have the opportunity, for the first time, to participate in the ownership of my music” explains Arts. “I have been able to have a hand in helping build this incredible team of hard working people who never stop believing in me.
