Jess Moskaluke Releases Tongue-In-Cheek Breakup Anthem

Platinum-selling, country music star Jess Moskaluke is kicking off the new year sharing her brand new single “Not What Ya Think” available now via MDM Recordings Inc / Universal Music Canada. Jess hones her songwriting skills throughout the track, with clever tongue-in-cheek lyrics that are playfully optimistic. She turns the tables on a breakup anthem with a track that proves not everything is always what you think.  Message From Jess Moskaluke “’Not What Ya Think’ is a fun and energetic musical reminder that you don’t always have to be heartbroken to find yourself enjoying a drink. It’s my ode to Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain”, in the sense that in this story, the ex thinks I’m missing him so I show up at the bar to drown out my sorrows…but, it’s not what he thinks. Hope you love it!”

Parker McCollum Releases Music Video For “Handle On You”

Last year proved to be a breakthrough year for Country music star, Parker McCollum – scoring major music accolades (ACM and CMT Awards), RIAA multi-Platinum and Gold certifications, two #1 hit singles and a non-stop touring schedule. Now, he is poised to take on this year with renewed energy and is setting his sights on the biggest year of his career yet. The first release for McCollum in 2023 is his latest music video for his single, “Handle On You,” which is currently in the Top 15 at Country Radio and has surpassed 80 Million global streams to date. Directed by Jim Wright, the beautifully shot video gives insight into the push and pull of balancing a career that you love but takes you away from home and the people closest to you – striking a middle ground with humble perspective. “Shot half of the video at a sold out show in my hometown – 20,000 people at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Shot the other half at our Family Ranch in East Texas. Seemed like the perfect opportunity to get to come home and showcase, on-camera, the place I love the most while doing what I love to do the most. I love this song and wrote it with my buddy Monty Criswell and I feel like we really kind of went in a different direction with it from my other songs. Putting this thing on film and giving the viewers a look into my life at home and on the road was an important visual for me to have go along with the track. So, in short, I love every bit of it and hope the fans dig it. Can’t wait for it to be out!”– Parker McCollum McCollum also recently announced all of his currently scheduled tour dates for 2023.

The County Affair Celebrate Weekend Cowboys on New Single

‘Weekend Cowboy’ is the new single from British duo, The County Affair, released on 13th January 2023 on XandY Records. The single is the first track to be lifted from the band’s second album Two Days’ Drive, which is set for release in March and, like their 2021 debut album Off The Grid, was recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Having played a 20-date UK tour with Ward Thomas in 2021and performed at London’s C2C festival, The British Country Music Festival and Black Deer 2022, The County Affair are now ready to give everyone a taste of what is to come with ‘Weekend Cowboy’. The single pays homage to fans of Country Music across the world, but in particular those who are dedicated to following the movement each weekend, attending shows, supporting local artists and enjoying the culture of Country Music – the fastest growing genre in the UK, with over 6 million people now claiming to be fans. Brenna says, “It is amazing to see the sheer level of interest in Country and Americana music in the U.K. Seeing so many people immersing themselves in the genre while on tour and at the festivals we’ve played at inspired the idea for Weekend Cowboy.” The County Affair story was 30-years in the making for childhood best friends Kevin Brennan and Tony Regan. The pair met in Nottingham in the 1970s, travelling together on the same school bus each day. They talked endlessly about music and the ‘country rock’ and ‘outlaw country’ sounds that were emerging from the US at the time. “Our school friends were listening to The Clash or The Police,” says Kevin. “But Tony and I were much more interested in checking out Joe Ely, Waylon Kennings and Gram Parsons.” As teenagers, the pair gigged together extensively thanks to Kevin’s Dad having an Irish Showband, for which there was huge demand in the ‘70s and ‘80s. In their early twenties, Kevin and Tony decided to go travelling across America. Spending extended periods performing gigs in Texas, they soon became a household name within the wider Irish community, receiving glowing reviews from local press and radio. Eventually landing in the thriving music scene of San Francisco, Tony and Kevin became sought after by venues across the city, sometimes playing up to four sets a night, four nights a week. It wasn’t long before they were approached to sign to management and turn professional, but with post-graduate jobs waiting for both of them in the UK they decided it was time to go home. 30 years later, married with families and successful business careers under their belt, the duo decided in 2020 that the time was right to address what felt to them like unfinished business. Kevin began working with Tony on some of songs he had been writing and in no time at all The County Affair was born. Having made a few tracks available on Spotify, veteran songwriter-producer Tom Nichols heard Kevin on the radio talking about The County Affair. Tom liked what he heard and looked the band up. Kevin says, “Tom got in touch and very kindly offered to take us under his wings. We then went to Abbey Road studios to make what would become our debut album, Off The Grid and we haven’t looked back.” To stream/download Weekend Cowboy: https://lnk.fu.ga/thecountyaffair_weekendcowboy Watch the video for Weekend Cowboy: https://youtu.be/y9NEURzXUA4

THE MAVERICKS Announce In Time (10th anniversary album) album

Today, The Mavericks proudly announce the forthcoming release of  a 10th ANNIVERSARY DELUXE edition of the band’s critically-acclaimed album, In Time. Arriving March 3rd via The Valory Music Co., the re-vamped record includes all 14 original tracks plus never-before-released songs “Tonight Is The Night,” the group’s exquisite take on “Gentle On My Mind,” and a rare conjunto version of “Ven Hacia Mi.” The special anniversary edition album features the original cover artwork available on stunning electric blue vinyl, to celebrate 10 years of the band’s hit comeback record.“We’re thrilled to offer up this special anniversary version with extra tracks and the original album art initially planned before Mark Tucker took the iconic group photo that became the cover people know and love,” explains Jerry Dale McFadden. “We weren’t sure what to expect when we got back together to make this album after many years of being off. What would The Mavericks sound like in this new 2.0 version? Would our fans dig it? Well, In Time ended up being a huge hit for us, creating new fans and satisfying old ones alike.”Born of Cuban-American roots in Miami and long based in Nashville, where they perfected their distinctive and eclectic Americana/roots fusion of country, rock, and Tejano/Tex-Mex influences, The Mavericks have gone through three distinct phases since they were founded in 1989. An initial period of heady success marked by big hits and critical acclaim in the 90s gave way to a long hiatus starting in 2003, when the musicians each went their separate ways. The band managed to top previous successes with a triumphant reunion in 2012 that held long enough for them to celebrate the group’s 30th anniversary.Led by the mesmerizing vocals of Raul Malo, the driving swing of drummer Paul Deakin, the masterful playing of guitarist Eddie Perez, and eccentric style of keyboardist Jerry Dale McFadden, the GRAMMY®, CMA, ACM, and Americana Music Lifetime Achievement Award-winning quartet continues their legacy of crisscrossing musical boundaries with fantastic abandon.“Tonight Is The Night” is available now on all platforms, and fans can pre-order In Time (10th Anniversary Deluxe) here.

Michael Ray Readies New Music as Rehearsals Get Underway for 2023 Tour

As we dive headfirst into a new year and even look ahead to spring, Michael Ray sees a new season of music emerging while in the studio with producer Michael Knox. The Eustis, Florida native has spent the last two years reflecting on his journey since moving to Music City and what it means to find fulfillment in all aspects of life. “My romance with the business of music was starting to take its toll on me,” says the singer who first moved to Nashville in 2013. “Things really come into focus when you take the time to live a little life. I feel like the music that we’ve been writing has real intention and is focused on the next chapter. I’ve discovered lately, especially in spending time with my family, that there’s a lot of life you miss when you’ve got your head down, doubling down on work. I think a lot of folks feel that way as all our lives changed, and so this idea of being present has moved beyond an idea…it’s how I’m living life these days.” Ray used to think of “being busy” as being in the studio or on the road constantly, but now he’s embraced the time between tour dates. “Being busy living life is the goal. I find I give more in my live shows when I’m the same human off stage and on, versus only giving folks one side of me for 90 or 120 minutes when I’ve got a microphone in my hand.”Kicking off February 18 in Los Fresnos, Texas, with additional shows to be announced, Ray’s 2023 tour dates are taking him back to some cities that first embraced him as he retraces his steps from the days in a 15-passenger van, zigzagging across the Southeast. “I want people to come out to see us and know that when they do, we’re gonna take great care of that time as it means more to us all now.”  “The main things that have kept me going this year is my family, friends, and these incredible fans that have become friends,” says Ray. “I think they’ll see a lot of life lived in these songs, and hopefully they’ll see themselves in it, too.”
