Audra McLaughlin shares acoustic video of ‘Headed For The Fall’

Audra McLaughlin’s latest single ‘Headed For The Fall’ which has been garnering attention on BBC Radio, comes out tomorrow! Ahead of it’s release she shared an acoustic rendition of it with us, here at Maverick. ‘Headed For The Fall’ showcases her phenomenal vocal range and gives us a real taste of the edgier side of this Queen of Country Soul. With an infectious chorus and the magical blend of guitars, you’ll want to enjoy listening to this song with the volume cranked up! Singer-Songwriter Audra McLaughlin grew to national fame in the USA as a member of Team Blake on season 6 of NBC’s “The Voice” where she reached the live shows and finished in the Top 6 Artists. Following her time on the show and after touring with the NASCAR band for two years, the Pennsylvania native moved to Nashville after needing vocal surgery and rehabilitation stemming from a cyst on her vocal chord. During her recovery process, she began working with leading vocal coach Kati Hendricks, who would later connect her with  industry veteran Jimmy Mattingly in 2019. Audra inked a co-publishing deal with Jimmy Mattingly and Johnny Garcia.  Both of whom worked with Audra on this latest single –  co-writing, producing and also featuring as musicians. Ramin Karimloo

Ramin Karimloo to play show with his Broadgrass Band next week!

West End and Broadway star and musical innovator Ramin Karimloo will bring his unique band, The Broadgrass Band to London for a very special one-off show at London’s Eventim Apollo on Wednesday, 15th December. Billed as ‘An Evening with Ramin Karimloo & The Broadgrass Band’, the Iranian-born Canadian singer and performer will deliver his reinterpretations of musical theatre hits, folk favourites and some of Ramin’s original songs all under the Broadgrass style he has made his own – breathing some bluegrass into Broadway and bringing some drama into Bluegrass. Talking of the show Karimloo said, “I can’t wait to return to London to perform these songs with The Broadgrass Band at Hammersmith’s legendary Eventim Apollo this December. We’ll be pulling out all the hits for what I promise to be a celebratory evening that’s been a long time coming.” Known around the world as one of the most formidable talents in musical theatre, Karimloo’s portrayal of leading roles such as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables on Broadway (2014 Tony Award nominee) and London’s West End, and the Phantom in Phantom of The Opera in London, served to highlight why he is a musical force unlike any other. Karimloo immortalised the role in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Phantom of The Opera at The Royal Albert Hall, and originated the leading role in Love Never Dies, the sequel to Phantom of the Opera, for which he received an Olivier Award nomination. In addition, he played the role of Enjolras in the 25th Anniversary of Les Miserables at the O2 Arena in London. Karimloo was then introduced to a new audience when he joined the main cast of the BBC drama series Holby City in 2019, playing consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Kian Madani. Karimloo’s style of music is both innovating and exciting as he merges the two genres together seamlessly. The show at the Eventim is bound to be a spectacle not to be missed!
