Little Big Town Exhibit

Little Big Town exhibit opens at Country Music Hall of Fame

Grammy-winning vocal group Little Big Town have been paid special attention this week, drawing excited music fans to the Country Music Hall of Fame owing to an exhibit dedicated to the foursome. Neon signs used on the album cover for Pain Killer, Karen Fairchild’s wedding dress and costumes lined with LED lighting from the 2014 CMA Awards are amongst the host of items on display to the public. Also on display will be the story of how the group came together, its early struggles, and each band member’s personal childhood experiences. Little Big Town members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook have released hits including The Road to Here (2005), Tornado (2012), Pain Killer (2014), and, most recently, The Breaker (2017). The exhibit, titled The Power of Four, will last until June 9, 2019.

Thousands flock to Ramblin' Man Fest in Maidstone for outlaw country

Thousands of people headed to Maidstone in Kent at the weekend as countless musicians took to the stage. On Saturday, Southern blues country rockers Thomas Wynn and The Believers took to the Outlaw Country Stage to perform tracks from their album released last year (WADE WAIST DEEP). Wynn and sister Olivia have roots in rock music, but have made strides in country and folk music, winning awards for both. The Adelaides followed, taking inspiration from the Dixie Chicks and Dolly Parton to perform some well-known country classics, before leading into some of their new material. Jelly Baby  and Whiskey In The Dirt were the crowd’s favourites, drawing dancing and cheers. Me And That Man also took to the Country Outlaw Stage, drawing crowds of people, while Skinny Molly proved a firm favourite with ear-splitting drums and guitar, appealing to rockier country music fans.
