Sylvia hosts upcoming episodes of Heartland TV's 'Country Classics'

ACM award-winner Sylvia will bring her heartfelt music to the hit TV show, ‘Country Classics.’ Beginning this week, the country chart-topper will guest host four upcoming episodes. The program focuses on classic country from the 70s, 80s and 90s, highlighting some of the genre’s biggest hits. Sylvia will be promoting her latest project, It’s All In The Family, which is available now. “Academy of Country Music’s ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ 1982, Sylvia, has a chain of hits to her credit,” said ‘Country Classics’ executive producer Jeff Moseley. “It was a special treat to have Sylvia guest host ‘Country Classics.’ Her talent and charm made for some very special Country Classics.” ‘Country Classics’ will air new episodes beginning this week on the Heartland TV network. Additional all-new episodes will air on November 21, November 28 and December 5. As a token of their friendship, Elvis gave T.G. his first tour bus in 1976, helping to provide him with the confidence to give up the promotion business and hit the road full time. Legendary musician Leonard Cohen dies aged 82

Singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen has died, his record label, Sony Music Canada, confirmed on Thursday. He was 82. “It is with profound sorrow we report that legendary poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away,” read a post on Cohen’s Facebook page. “We have lost one of music’s most revered and prolific visionaries. A memorial will take place in Los Angeles at a later date. The family requests privacy during their time of grief.” he Recording Academy also mourned Cohen’s death in a statement to ET, saying, “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of GRAMMY® Award winner and 2010 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Leonard Cohen.” “During an influential career that spanned more than five decades, Leonard became one of the most revered pop poets and a musical touchstone for many songwriters,” the statement continued. “His extraordinary talent had a profound impact on countless singers and songwriters, as well as the wider culture. We have lost a cherished artist and our sincerest condolences go out to Leonard’s family, friends, and collaborators. He will be missed terribly.”

Justin Moore debuts new single on NBC's TODAY (11/14)

Platinum-selling singer Justin Moore will debut his new single Somebody Else Will on TODAY  Monday morning (11/14) at 10:00am on NBC (check local listings). The anticipated follow-up single arrives on the heels of his sixth No. 1 hit You Look Like I Need a Drink, from his fourth chart-topping album KINDA DON’T CARE (The Valory Music Co). British country music association honours Kirt Webster with international services to industry award

The British Country Music Awards honored Kirt Webster with the International Services To Industry Award for his contributions to country music as the President of Webster Public Relations, a Nashville-based publicity and marketing firm. Webster Public Relations client Dolly Parton and Lee Williams, President of the British Country Music Association, presented Webster with the award in Nashville. Webster joins a prestigious list of honorees, like Big Machine Records president Scott Borchetta, the late Jeff Walker and Country Music Association Director of International Relations Bobbi Boyce. “I moved to Nashville more than 20 years ago to chase my dream of working with country music artists, like Dolly. Today, I have the privilege of working with Dolly and a roster of icons and emerging acts,” Kirt Webster said.
